It was one year ago today that the CU 91Ҹ aerospace department became Smead Aerospace Engineering Sciences, the result of a major gift from passionate CU 91Ҹ supporters Ann Smead and her husband Michael Byram.
With support totaling more than $15 million, the family's support is setting CU 91Ҹ apart from its aerospace peers. The Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences recognizes in honor of Ann and H.J. “Joe” Smead, a CU 91Ҹ engineering alumnus, industry executive and Ann’s husband prior to his passing in 2003.
