Mark J. Ablowitz is the recipient of the 2022 Hazel Barnes Prize. This is the most prestigious single faculty award funded by the 91أغجز¸َ 91أغجز¸َ. It was established in 1991 to recognize “the enriching interrelationship between teaching and research.†This celebratory talk will include: an historical background, a discussion of some of MJAs work that has been heavily used by researchers, and remarks about teaching/pedagogy. The talk is designed for non-specialists. There will be *no equations*!
