The concept resonates with many contemporary visual artists who emphasize intuition, improvisation, and process. Drawing on this approach,&nbsp;<em>Yes &amp;...</em>&nbsp;brings together an eclectic mix of styles and aesthetics from 18 artists united by their human-centered focus and perspective.</p><p><strong>About William Cobbing: </strong>Starting from a sculptural sensibility, Cobbing’s art practice encompasses a diverse range of media, including video and installation. Performative encounters are devised with material, such as clay, in which the protagonists are engaged in a repetitive and absurd cycle of manipulating formless surfaces. The works allude to concepts of entropy, underlining the extent to which earthly material is irreversibly dispersed, giving rise to a definitive blurring of the boundaries between the body and landscape, whilst putting the possibility of conclusion on hold. William Cobbing studied sculpture at Central St Martins, De Ateliers, an artists’ institute in Amsterdam and a PhD by Practice at Middlesex University.&nbsp;</p> </div> </div> <div class="col-lg-6 col-12 pb-4"> <div class="teaser-article-img px-2"> <img src="/artandarthistory/sites/default/files/styles/focal_image_square/public/2026-03/89a85205-1c23-41ac-af77-8f22c8512539.png?h=8abcec71&amp;itok=tqnQhYuj" alt="VAC"> </div> <h3> <div>BOULDER ARTS WEEK EVENT: CU OPEN DOORS</div> </h3> <div class="article-summary" id="teaser-article-summary-user-text--1"> <div>The 91Ҹ 91Ҹ is opening its doors to the community to highlight CU's connection to 91Ҹ's art community. Rather than&nbsp;being the physical support for her marks, these materials become an integral part of her work. She studies each surface closely and experiments with ways of marking it, seeking marks that respond to its appearance, use, or history. As a result, her marks/interventions visually interweave with the pre-existing materials. In a sense, her&nbsp;interventions excavate each surface, drawing attention to its features, histories, and potentially unseen or alternative narratives.&nbsp;By rethinking the act of marking, Kassianidou’s work challenges the idea of the artist as sole creator and foregrounds instead the collaboration between artist and materials.</span></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><a href="https://www.mssu.edu/academics/arts-sciences/art/exhibition-schedule.php" rel="nofollow">More information can be found here.</a></div><div><div>&nbsp;</div></div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <div> <div class="paragraph paragraph--type--newsletter-section paragraph--view-mode--default"> <h2> <div>Campus News</div> </h2> <div class="row row-content"> <div class="col-lg-6 col-12 pb-4"> <div class="teaser-article-img px-2"> <img src="/artandarthistory/sites/default/files/styles/focal_image_square/public/2026-02/Screenshot%202026-02-17%20at%2010.11.20%E2%80%AFAM.png?h=59595e92&amp;itok=gG5X4VCW" alt="Dr. Albert K.
