Brian M. Argrow is Distinguished Professor and Glenn L. Murphy Endowed Chair in the Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences and founding Director of the Integrated Remote and In-Situ Sensing Program (IRISS). His research includes design and deployment of small, uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS), airspace integration, aerodynamics and aerothermodynamics. He led the first team to intercept and collect in-situ measurements in supercell thunderstorms with uncrewed aircraft and continues to develop and deploy UAS primarily for atmospheric science applications.
