Bio

Liam Jasperse-Sjolander is a PhD student in the Department of Environmental Studies at the 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó, 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó. His dissertation focuses on comparing forest and savannah elephant habitat use and social structure, including the use of drones and AI 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó to examine elephant social behavior, foraging, and population health.ÌýÌýLiam is a wildlife biologist who has been studying elephant social behavior for the past nine years, including at Save the Elephants, where he serves as Principal Investigator of the Elephant Collective Behavior Project in Samburu National Reserve. He has worked studing wildlife in several countries, including Gabon, Rwanda, Kenya, Canada, and the United States and is commited to advancing the study of wildlife behavior using novel technologies.
