Students in the Design Your Path LLC arerequiredand will be automatically enrolled in two, 1-credit courses during their first semester: FYXP 1500 and FYXP 2200. While FYXP 1500 is notrequired, students who have completed this course haveshown themselvesto be more successful during their first year on campusand report it being a valuable first-semester experience.

FYXP 1500: First Year Success Seminar

Designed as an “accountability partner” to support first-year students in a successful transition tocollege, studentsin FYXP 1500complete weekly missions that incentivize them to utilizecampus resources, practice academicskillsand behaviors,and productively reflect on their habits during first semester. Students can expect toallocateupto 1 hour of work each week on a variety of tasks that will get them exploring campus with purpose.Thiscourse is online andasynchronous andsuccessful completion gives students 1 elective credit hour.

FYXP 2200: Portrait of an Explorer

Portraitof an Exploreris based on the premise that when students are empowered, connected, impactful,and thriving, they are successful academically and personally. This course challenges students to broaden their scope on the purpose of college to include not only career readiness, but how to notice,identify, and replicate experiences that bring them meaning.Through this course, living learning community residents will build relationshipswith peers, student mentors, and CU instructors who will truly know them. Learning experiences areinteractive,hands-on,and help studentsclarify and articulatetheir"why” for being in college.This course is only offered in the fall semester to residents within the Design Your PathLLCand enrollment isrequiredfor LLC participation.This course istaughtin-person weekly and successful completion gives students 1 elective credit hour.
