Bryan Convens is aÌýPhD researcher in the (R&MM) research group of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), under the supervision of Prof. Bram Vanderborght.ÌýHe has a personal research grant funded by the 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó Foundation Flanders (FWO) of the Flemish Government. He received his B.S. in Electromechanical Engineering in 2014 from the VUB, Belgium, and his M.S. in Electromechanical Engineering with option in Mechatronics-Construction in 2016 as a joint degree from the VUB and the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium. In 2015 he worked 3 months as a research intern at the Center for 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó on Complex Automated Systems (CASY) of the University of Bologna and at Aslatech Engineering in Bologna, Italy.
His research stay at CU 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó was centered on theÌýFormation Control of Multi-Agent Systems. The focus of his research in general is distributed constrained control of multi-robot systems with applications in aerial robotic cooperative navigation and physical interaction. He also has research expertise on compliant actuation technologies for robotics.
