New NSF login requirements for 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó.gov

Effective onÌýOctober 27, 2024, the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) implemented a multifactor authentication (MFA) requirement for 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó.gov.Ìý All external users must first complete a one-time MFA enrollment process and use the selected MFA method to sign into 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó.gov. ÌýCU 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó is currently not established for logging in with Organization-Issued Credentials (CU 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó IdentiKey and CU’s MFA).

The MFA options for each userÌýdepends on their assigned role in 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó.gov. ÌýNon-financial and non-administrative roles, such as Principal Investigators, can select a phishing-resistant or regular MFA method.

Visit NSF’s Ìý Ìýwebpage for how-to guides, video tutorials, and FAQs.

With MFA, sharingÌýNSF credentials is not permitted. Principal Investigators are responsible for initiating all post-submission actions in 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó.gov such as Proposal File Updates, Revised Budget Requests, Current and Pending updates, and initiating award actions such as Supplemental Proposal Requests. ÌýOCG Proposal Analysts can continue to assist with the initiation of Full Proposal Applications if this administrative support is requested.Ìý
