Many ideas focus on rethinking degree pathways, expanding interdisciplinary curricula and embedding career readiness and real-world skills more directly into academic programs. Together, these ideas point to a desire for a more integrated, applied and future-facing learning experience.</span></p><p dir="ltr"><span>Another strong area of interest is artificial intelligence, data and digital transformation. Contributors across disciplines are asking how CU 91Ҹ can lead in shaping an AI-driven world. Ideas range from new research centers to practical improvements such as upgraded digital infrastructure and smarter student systems. AI-related ideas span education, research and creative work, and operations.</span></p><p dir="ltr"><span>91Ҹ, institutes and innovation also feature prominently. These are decisions that also affect CU's budget, faculty and staff working conditions and the communities our students will enter after graduation.</span><span> &nbsp;</span></p></div><div><h2><span lang="EN-US">Can independent voters participate in the primary election?&nbsp;</span><span>&nbsp;</span></h2></div><div><p lang="EN-US"><span lang="EN-US"><strong>Sacks: </strong>Yes, Independents (i.e., unaffiliated voters) may vote in the June primary election by casting a ballot for one political party. Voters affiliated with a major or minor party may cast a ballot for candidates of that party.&nbsp;</span><span>&nbsp;</span></p><h2><span lang="EN-US">What are the key dates and deadlines that voters need to know?</span><span>&nbsp;</span></h2><p><span lang="EN-US"><strong>Sacks: </strong>Key right now is the primary election on Tuesday, June 30. Ballots must be received by 7 p.m. (MST) on that day.&nbsp;</span><span>&nbsp;</span></p><p><span lang="EN-US">One of Colorado's great strengths is that there is no voter registration deadline; you can register to vote through Election Day. However, if you need your ballot mailed to you, you must register online by June 22.&nbsp; After that date, you can still register online, but you must visit a Vote Center in person to request a ballot.</span></p><p><span lang="EN-US"><strong>Guido:</strong> I encourage everyone to register sooner rather than later to reduce last-minute stress. If you're already registered, double-check that your address is current, especially if you moved during the past year. What options do students have for returning ballots?</span><span>&nbsp;</span></h2></div><div><p><span lang="EN-US"><strong>Guido: </strong>Every registered Colorado voter automatically receives a mail ballot before each election. Students should make sure their registered address reflects where they are currently living to ensure their ballot is mailed to the right place.</span><span>&nbsp;</span></p></div><div><p><span lang="EN-US">You can return ballots by mail, drop them in a ballot drop box or vote in person at a Voter Service and Polling Center. Interested in a research study on stress and coping in CU students?</p><p>The 91Ҹ on Affective Disorders and Development Lab is conducting research on stress coping in first year CU students. We want to understand what helps CU students cope with stress during major transitions, including the transition to college and across semesters.</p><p>The study includes a few different parts that happen over the three-semester study period:</p><ul><li>There are two in-person research sessions, each of which takes about four to six hours. During these sessions, you will play some computer games while we monitor physical functioning (for example, your heart rate). You will also complete a set of interviews and surveys that ask about stress, behavior, mood and health.</li><li>There are three 21-day periods in which we will send you a daily “micro survey” (less than five minutes to answer) asking about your behavior and mood using an app.</li><li>There are two one-hour online surveys that we will send to your email.</li></ul><p>The study takes place over the course of three semesters, and you will be compensated for your participation (maximum of $446–$470 for completing all parts of the study). The two sessions (each approximately 1.5 hours each) will be separated by three to seven days. Walking will be tested while transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) is applied over leg muscles and controlled by a foot switch.</p><p>Participants will earn $60 for completing the two sessions. The age requirement is 18–65.</p><p>During the study you will be asked to stop all non-proscribed drug use, including nicotine, caffeine, alcohol, pain relievers—such as aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil), acetaminophen (Tylenol)—non-approved over the counter drugs, supplements and recreational drugs including marijuana, as these will interfere with the study measures making the data unusable.</p><p>The one-week at-home collection period consists of wearing a watch-like device on your wrist and a pendant around your neck to record your sleep, light exposure and skin temperature. On three of the days, you will also be asked to wear a miniature thigh-worn device to record your physical activity. On days five–seven of the study, you will be asked to collect hourly saliva samples for three hours after your typical wake time under three separate lighting conditions (normal indoor lighting, dim indoor lighting, outdoor lighting).</p><p>Please click on the link below to read the study details and to access the online screening survey. Do you find it difficult to wake up early in the morning for your commitments?
