Katie Chambers is a doctoral candidate in Civil Engineering (environmental focus) at the 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó. She received her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly SLO), andÌýher master’s degree in Civil Engineering (environmental focus) from the 91ÃÛÌÒ¸óÌý91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó. She has completed certificates in Engineering for Developing Communities from theÌýMortenson Center in Global Engineering and in Science & Technology Policy from the CenterÌýfor Science and Technology Policy 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó. Katie’s dissertation research focuses onÌýsanitation resilience and reconstruction in hazard-prone areas, with extensive fieldwork inÌýEthiopia.
