Doctor of Philosophy

Students must complete a minimum of 30 hours of approved coursework and 30 dissertation credits.
All degree requirements must be completed within six years of the beginning of your coursework.
The major goals of graduate study in biochemistry are mastering known principles and techniques; developing the intellectual tools for collecting and analyzing data; producing new fundamental knowledge through research; and being able to effectively communicate the results of original research through oral and written means.
