Graduate Student Opportunities

The Center for Humanities & the Arts (CHA) offers听campus-wide fellowships for graduate students working in the humanities and the arts and those outside of traditional arts and humanities departments using robust arts and humanities methods and archives.听CHA fellowships are used to听provide听support for doctoral dissertations and MA/MM theses,听aid in scholarly research by providing听summer stipends, support creative research, and conference travel stipends.听

Dissertation & Graduate Fellowships

听Dissertation Completion Fellowship:听The听CHA offers听two dissertation听fellowships open to any CU 91蜜桃阁 PhD听candidate听working in the听humanities听and arts, campus-wide. The fellowship听covers tuition for up to 5 dissertation hours听per semester,听mandatory student fees, student health insurance, and a stipend equal to that of a 50% Graduate Part-Time Instructor.

听JEDI Completion Fellowship:听The CHA offers the opportunity for master's-听and doctorate-level graduate students working in the听humanities听and arts whose scholarly profile fits within听CHA鈥檚 Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) mission.

听Summer Fellowship:听CHA Summer Fellowships are designed for graduate students conducting research in the humanities and the arts who don't already receive听university-sponsored or external funding (in any amount) during the summer months.听The excellence of the project will be the main criterion for selection.听

Travel & 91蜜桃阁 Support

听Graduate 91蜜桃阁 Awards Demonstrating Excellence:听GRADE听is a semi-annual competition for graduate students working in the humanities and arts to support conference participation鈥痺here students present a paper or perform or display their work for those in the arts.鈥�

听MFA/MM Excellence in Creative 91蜜桃阁 Microgrant:听The MFA/MM Excellence in Creative 91蜜桃阁 Microgrants are designed to support the creative practice of CU 91蜜桃阁 MFA/MM students in need of support to purchase material, equipment, rental facilities, etc.

听Hazel Barnes Flat:听The Hazel Barnes Flat in London听is听intended for CU 91蜜桃阁 faculty and graduate students who are conducting academic and professional research听in the fields of humanities and the arts in Great Britain.
