Graduate Student Opportunities
The Center for Humanities & the Arts (CHA) offersÌýcampus-wide fellowships for graduate students working in the humanities and the arts and those outside of traditional arts and humanities departments using robust arts and humanities methods and archives.ÌýCHA fellowships are used toÌýprovideÌýsupport for doctoral dissertations and MA/MM theses,Ìýaid in scholarly research by providingÌýsummer stipends, support creative research, and conference travel stipends.Ìý
Dissertation & Graduate Fellowships
ÌýÌýDissertation Completion Fellowship:ÌýTheÌýCHA offersÌýtwo dissertationÌýfellowships open to any CU 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó PhDÌýcandidateÌýworking in theÌýhumanitiesÌýand arts, campus-wide. The fellowshipÌýcovers tuition for up to 5 dissertation hoursÌýper semester,Ìýmandatory student fees, student health insurance, and a stipend equal to that of a 50% Graduate Part-Time Instructor.
ÌýÌýJEDI Completion Fellowship:ÌýThe CHA offers the opportunity for master's-Ìýand doctorate-level graduate students working in theÌýhumanitiesÌýand arts whose scholarly profile fits withinÌýCHA’s Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) mission.
ÌýÌýSummer Fellowship:ÌýCHA Summer Fellowships are designed for graduate students conducting research in the humanities and the arts who don't already receiveÌýuniversity-sponsored or external funding (in any amount) during the summer months.ÌýThe excellence of the project will be the main criterion for selection.Ìý
Travel & 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó Support
ÌýÌýGraduate 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó Awards Demonstrating Excellence:ÌýGRADEÌýis a semi-annual competition for graduate students working in the humanities and arts to support conference participation where students present a paper or perform or display their work for those in the arts. 
ÌýÌýMFA/MM Excellence in Creative 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó Microgrant:ÌýThe MFA/MM Excellence in Creative 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó Microgrants are designed to support the creative practice of CU 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó MFA/MM students in need of support to purchase material, equipment, rental facilities, etc.
ÌýÌýHazel Barnes Flat:ÌýThe Hazel Barnes Flat in LondonÌýisÌýintended for CU 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó faculty and graduate students who are conducting academic and professional researchÌýin the fields of humanities and the arts in Great Britain.
