Inclusive Culture Council
The mission of the Inclusive Culture Council (ICC) is to provide strategic leadership and transparency for cultivating an interculturally competent and supportive environment in the College of Engineering and Applied Science where all people and voices are considered and valued. The ICC strives to bring leaders within the college together for systematic, intentional and integrative planning and to create an environment of education, belonging and growth for students, faculty, and staff. The council works closely with leaders and organizations across the universityÌýto ensure alignment with the university’s mission.
The council has the following responsibilities to students, faculty, and staff across the college:
- counsels and makes recommendations to the dean and senior leadership
- acts as a catalystÌýfor change
- develops initiatives to improve the sense of belonging
- monitors progress towardsÌýimproving the sense of belonging
- amplifies evidence-based strategies to address overall college Ìýculture
- supports and advises respective units, departments and programs and the college at large on best practices to improve a sense of belonging
- serves as a communication and collaboration hubÌý

Inclusive Culture Council Learning Resources
The ICC has compiled a database of inclusive learning resources for faculty, staff and students in the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS). The resources are organized by the populations represented within the CEAS community.
To use the database, identify the audience for whom you are seeking resources, select the appropriate tab and explore the available materials.
We welcome your suggestions for new learning additions. To share feedback, suggest a resource or ask a question, complete the form below. We review submissions once per semester. To promote an event in a timelier fashion, you may consider submitting it to the Diversity & Inclusion Events Calendar.
