About the event

A 24‑hour global gathering on climate action, tech innovation and human rights.

The Right Here, Right Now Global Youth Climate Summit brings together young people, educators and innovators from across the world to explore how emerging technologies can drive climate resilience while protecting human rights. Hosted in partnership withÌý andÌý, and co-hosted by the 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó along with other universities around the world, we aim to create a space for bold ideas, constructive debate and collaborative learning at the intersection of sustainability, technology and social justice.

Designed for a global audience, the summit showcases leadership of people who are shaping climate solutions in their communities and beyond. It also highlights how education and technology can strengthen climate literacy, support informed decision making and empower the next generation to lead with purpose.

What to expect

Over 24 hours, the summit will run a rolling programme of online webinars from midnight to midnight. Participants can join live sessions at any time as it moves across global regions and time zones, and watch sessions afterwards on demand:

  • Live discussions and Q&As on climate innovation, AI and human rights
  • Youth‑led sessions sharing climate solutions and community action
  • Practical tools for educators integrating climate and tech into the classroom
  • Insights from researchers, practitioners and activists across global regions

The summit is free and open to all.

Student-Focused Eco-Imagination & Climate Storytelling

CU 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó is a cohost of the 2026 Right Here, Right Now Global Youth Summit. We are also hosting a segment of the 24 hour livestream. The program was coordinated by the .Ìý

The SPIKE Center for Sustainability Education at the 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó is hosting a hybrid presentation and interactive workshop during the Right Here Right Now World Youth Summit focused on sustainability education, climate communication, and collective storytelling.

Designed primarily for a virtual audience, this live-broadcast experience will connect participants with student-led sustainability projects, creative workshops, and interactive storytelling exercises from 91ÃÛÌÒ¸ó, Colorado. Limited in-person attendees will experience the event as a live studio-style broadcast and collaborative workshop environment.

This session highlights student-led projects that use creative expression to engage audiences in climate conversations — from eco-imagining films and sustainable fashion campaigns to improvisation and climate comedy.

Welcome & Opening Remarks

Opening videos and introductions from SPIKE Center faculty and students, including an overview of the workshop themes and student-centered approach to sustainability storytelling.


2:12–2:48 p.m.

Eco-Imagining for Sustainability

Student filmmakers and presenters share creative sustainability storytelling projects exploring imagination, justice, and climate futures through film and media.

Featured student work includes:

  • Short eco-imagining films
  • Reflections on climate storytelling
  • Creative sustainability narratives
  • Connections to global youth climate engagement

2:48–3:18 p.m.

Sustainable Fashion & Climate Communication

Students and community collaborators explore sustainability messaging through fashion campaigns and public-facing bus advertisements designed to promote circular economy practices and climate awareness.

Topics include:

  • Sustainable fashion communication
  • Student-designed climate campaigns
  • Public art and environmental messaging
  • Community partnership projects

3:18–3:32 p.m.

Sustainability Through Improvisation

Interactive presentations exploring improvisation, creativity, and storytelling as tools for sustainability education and community engagement.


3:32–3:58 p.m.

Climate Comedy Workshop

A live interactive workshop exploring humor as a tool for climate communication, engagement, and resilience.

Participants will experience:

  • Student climate comedy performances
  • Reflections on humor and activism
  • Interactive storytelling exercises

3:58–4:00 p.m.

Closing Reflections

Final reflections on student-centered learning, storytelling, creativity, and collective climate action.
