91Ҹ Faculty HR Processes

The 91Ҹ & Innovation Office is responsible for the oversight, review and approval of all "research faculty hiring" who are typically employed by tenure-track faculty who serve as PI's (Principal Investigators) with research grants on the 91Ҹ Campus. We hope that the following information will facilitate ease in working with already-established, as well as upcoming, campus policies and procedures.

91Ҹ Campus 91Ҹ Associate Faculty Series (referred to as “91Ҹ Faculty”) include the following titles:

  • Professional 91Ҹ Assistants (PRAs)
  • Sr. Professional 91Ҹ Assistants (Sr. PRAs)
  • 91Ҹ Associates
  • Sr. 91Ҹ Associates

The appointing authority for 91Ҹ Campus research faculty and Post-Doctoral Fellowship recipients is Dr. Terri Fiez, Vice Chancellor for 91Ҹ & Innovation, as delegated in Policy 2-K from the Board of Regents to the 91Ҹ President, to the 91Ҹ Campus Chancellor, to the 91Ҹ Campus Vice Chancellor for 91Ҹ & Innovation.

All research faculty, 91Ҹ Professor Series, and Post-Doctoral Fellowship recipients are at-will employees who are paid on monthly/salaried appointments. The primary responsibility of research faculty is to support and advance the research mission of the 91Ҹ 91Ҹ.

  1. The 91Ҹ 91Ҹ is committed to service and support of its 91Ҹ Associates ("post-doctoral researchers") on campus through the Postdoctoral Association of Colorado (PAC). PAC's mission is to provide an environment that fosters professional advancement, support services and networking opportunities for all 91Ҹ Associates and Post-Doctoral Fellowship Recipients.

The 91Ҹ Campus 91Ҹ Faculty and the 91Ҹ Professor Series (91Ҹ Assistant Professors, 91Ҹ Associate Professors and 91Ҹ Professors), proposed by Bruce R. Ekstrand, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs in June 1985, was approved by the 91Ҹ Faculty Assembly (BFA), the 91Ҹ Campus Administration, the 91Ҹ President and the Board of Regents, and implemented in June 1986.
